Compression stockings only on 1 leg?

Is it okay to wear a compression stocking on 1 leg only?  My left leg has pretty bad varicose veins, but the right one doesn't.  Though there are some genetics involved, I think it is probably due to an injury to my left leg years ago.  Obviously I would get more wear out of the stockings if I could use them only on the leg that needs it, but would that be a problem for the good leg?
Thank you!

  • Hi Kathy,

There is nothing wrong in wearing compression stockings on one leg only. If you feel that your "good" leg would not benefit from wearing compression stockings, than you can wear a compression stocking only on the other leg.

Let me know how it goes.
